Day 4

We had an awesome first night at home with Kennedy sleeping a solid 3 hours before her midnight and 3 o'clock feedings (woke up at 3:29 when Brooke had set alarm for 3:30). Morning started with a first visit to the pediatrician who ordered a blanket for the jaundice as her count increased from Friday. Then we had a visit from Aunt Kristi and Uncle Barry who wanted to teach Kennedy her first curse word. Not sure if Uncle Barry or Brent or Walter are going to be the one we most have to monitor around our princess. Then came Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Cindy and Gma/pa Bart for some time with our baby doll.

Chilling in her hospital crib yesterday -

Brooke warned me this type of diaper control can lead to some real messes but then I found one she did about the same quality at the 3 a.m. feeding. Good thing she isn't having lots of bowel/pee movements yet. Newborn Huggies are way too big on her and the Pampers are pretty big as well -

Hanging out in her car seat ready to go see the doctor -

After her first sponge bath at home -

Our own little glow-worm to help get rid of the jaundice -

"If I was a father in a waiting room, and the nurse came out and said, 'Congratulations, it's a girl,' I think a good gag would be to get real mad and yell, 'A girl!? You must have me mixed up with THAT dork!' and point to another father." - Jack Handy

Aunt Kristi didn't want to have anything to do with teaching your little princess a bad word. That was all Uncle Barry!
